The mv is pretty lit 🔥. I do agree that avril didn't show much emotion but the more I watch it the more I forget about it. It made like the song more tbh. It's a bop! Same goes for acting like that by yungblud and mgk. Rather listen to these than the generic pop songs. What a great start to 2021 it has been!!!  |

I noticed that out of Avril's exes, Mod Sun follows both Deryck Whibley and Brody Jenner on Instagram. He made the correct decision on saying NO to Chavril.  Low key he reminds me of Deryck *runs and hides* agreed, they both have a very "bad boy but kind" vibe |

The video is fire, I really love it and I see chemistry on screen, especially the scene where they are standing in front of eachother while singing in the microphones. I don’t think they’re dating but if they were I don’t mind. I mean it’s fast again yes but well.. it’s Avril lol...
he seems to have a serious side too since he once said he was really into a girl and they were living together and it was very serious but he fucked it up cause of his addiction at the time.
Sooooo.... if they are dating it maybe will work out.. well see. But I like their voices together and with the video the vibe gets even better I think!
Edit: I forgot to mention that I really like those little videos Mod uploaded as a sort of behind the scenes. Fans always like that! I’m still surprised with all the news, pictures and video and it’s still January!!

The pre-order for Mod Sun's fourth album will be out tomorrow. With the pre-order the tracklist will probably be revealed too. We will then see if the song titles on the chalkboard were his or Avril's.  |

I honestly don’t get a vibe from them that they’re dating. He seems to really admire her and idolize her and it would be really weird to date someone with that mentality. I think he is just in awe to be working with someone of her level and is grateful for what she’s been able to do for his music. The hug could have just been Avril being appreciative for being part of the project and her being proud of his work since he directed it. I admit I felt a small vibe in the scene where they are back to back but otherwise I honestly don’t get vibes they are dating. They’ve been working together for a few months now, they could just be close friends. I’ve honestly felt more vibes between her and Evan and they never dated, her and ModSun give off even less vibes than that lol They probably hang together outside the studio cause they’re friends and bored, they are tested for COVID often so it’s ok for them to hang with each other and they probably don’t have many people they can hang with due to COVID. Not that it matters all that much, but I agree that one can't just assume a whole story out of glimpses of interaction caught on camera (or otherwise), folks express affection in so many ways and intensities, and those in art are especially eccentric at that, haha. Anyway, what I notice more and more is just how damn too short this song is. You play it and a few moments in you're already half way through, and I really don't want to have it on replay as it makes its shortness even more obvious, lol. It should've been 4 minutes long, I think that would really allow it to build up the intensity in a proper progressive momentum. |

I don't think it's right to assume she dates everyone she works with. She's worked with other composers/producers/musicians before since 2002, both male and female, and that doesn't mean she has got involved with them in any kind of relationship outside the studio. Likewise, she's spent time with other artists and celebrities (Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Hilary Duff, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, etc.) and she's never written a song with them.
On the other hand, I don't see anything unusual or wrong with the hug she gave Mod Sun. Obviously, spending time with him and MGK has made her go back to her roots. She's also back after being ill for years and the whole world has acknowledged her return. Her next album may even be influenced by these fellas. So yes, she must feel grateful for what they've achieved in less than 24 hours.
I'm not gonna say they aren't dating, but claiming they are based on the fact that they've recorded a track and hugged is way too much.

I believe she's very grateful for the last few months. She became friends with MOD SUN and John Feldmann, who both seemed to have brought back her passion for making pop/rock and pop/punk music, "Flames" is a success and so many people, her fans included are hyped for what's to come. HAW was her way back into the music industry, after being bedridden for two years, but AL7 will be THE new era of her. She must be so happy right now and it shows. I'm proud of her 🥺💘 |

I honestly would cringe if they're dating and it ends up being the same old story I've been hearing a lot of on here when it comes to her and some of the men she works with. I can see them being good friends and it being fairly special for her to kind of go back to her roots in this way after a very static year. In that sense Mod Sun has probably been a good influence and a joy for her to work with while for Mod Sun Avril has helped him now have a breakthrough so I can see why they quickly became good friends and they're both grateful to each other. Situations like that lead to deeper friendships than simply working together. I don't think the hug is anything special and that people should read too much into it tbh. He's just immediately right in front of her because he walks towards her all excited that they got this done so they just go for it (and obviously he's also the first you'd want to have a moment with after working on that). Also Mod Sun strikes me as a nice guy inside but the way he kind of poses and seems to overplay his excitement and attitude is a bit cringe. Like in one of the videos: "Mod Sun, Avril Lavigne this shit was iconic we all know it." 
The painting looks like some of Mod Sun's work that I've seen though I've never seen Avril's painting so I wouldn't know. I think he probably gifted it to her as a personal thank you. It also seems like there's a spot in her new house where it'd go well (there's like a big generic yellowish color painting hanging there in some of the pictures I saw a while ago) so he probably knows that'd make a great gift. My take on it is that they're kind of wrapping up their time working together now and making a little day or two out of "saying goodbye" for a while. Also the fact they can safely meet because they've been working together probably plays into them hanging out a bit more.
All in all let's hope he's a positive influence and doesn't lead to some kind of disaster. If this turns into a thing I really hope for you all that history doesn't repeat itself. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I feel the same. I don't know how I'd feel about them dating tbh, at least they are both around the same age, both musicians, and he was even briefly married and then divorced, he also had issues in the past with addiction, so they would share some common life experiences, but IMO based on what I've read about him he sounds a little messy in his personal life and I can't see that being a good thing for Avril, but obviously I don't know the guy. Anyway, I agree with you that the hug really doesn't mean much of anything, I think she was really proud of him because he directed the video and it's his song, so naturally she was going to go give him a hug first. The video cuts off pretty shortly so we can't even really tell how long they hugged for. I have seen enough of Avril's artwork to know that painting is definitely not her work. She does very basic artwork like flowers and shit and no offense, but her skills are average at best. She would definitely never be able to paint the thing that was shown and it doesn't look like her style anyway. As many said, it may have been a thank you gift from Mod since Avril kind of helped give his career a boost and I'm sure he's grateful for the opportunity to work with someone like her. A lot of people didn't even know of him before Avril teamed up with him and now they're listening to his other songs besides Flames. |
