Idk about you guys but that climax still gets me every single time lol. It is repetitive as heck and sometimes i skip her intro (oops) but it still has some great instrumental that just get me, ugh.
I'm actually excited for the acoustic version, hopefully they tried to do something fancy, like adding a verse or change the melodies a bit, more mellow (?) more powerful (?) her squeacky high notes (?)
I do think a simple video should come out as well... maybe the photoshoot we saw was the cover for flames acoustic.... 🤡

Sadly...haha but if they make the beginning more mellow they can build up a little bit for the climax, like she did with yungblud or especially at the roxy theatre, that was still acoustic but with drums, base, guitar.
Maybe I'm just being positive for once lol but i want to believe that mod's and feldy's influence on this will make the outcome pretty decent if not more D':

It would be really ridiculous to make us wait this long for this version they have been teasing for weeks/months just for them to only change the instrumental parts, not to mention I don't think that would really work anyway (Mod's vocals need to be toned down a bit for an acoustic version IMO). Knowing Avril, her vocals are probably the same since they are already very soft, but Mod's might have been re-recorded. Not to mention, if they all had to do was change the instruments, this version should have been out weeks ago. So hopefully that is not the case and I agree with others here I don't think Mod or Feldmann would settle for that. Avril on the other hand, well who knows.mp3. Her vocals probably didn't need to be reworked that much anyway.

Well okay I'm somewhat glad that we're finally getting this out of the way and will be able to spread the ashes and move on. Part of me expects that the people involved can't just be so lazy to either only change the instrumentation and call it a day or just drop the track without any accompanying video for something so "simple" but who knows. The announcement is rather low-key after all so I'm just keeping my expectations low so all I can be is surprised. I'm slightly worrying that this just resets the cycle though. Whose ready for two months of promotion of the acoustic? It's a new song after all....??  |
