Now that we have 2 more self-written songs by Avril, which one do you think is her best song? I included the UMS ones even though technically there were cowriters because they wrote the music.

It's hard to say for me because I think most of her self-writtens are pretty good, but I think Darlin' will always be one of her best, especially considering how young she was when she wrote it.

I voted for Falling Fast. It's not a personal favourite but I like the lyrics and it actual sounds self-written. Other songs I'm not so sure about.

Nobody's Home. I really hope she works with Ben Moody in the future again (though I don't think it's ever gonna happen) because he's a great composer and lyricist imo. Amy was right about being pissed after losing Ben to Avril lol.

I always forget which songs she writes on her own and it always surprises me that NH is on the list. That one and FF are really good. Voted for NH.

As I don't consider the UMS as self-written, as she didn't do the music composition herself, I voted IFILWTD (if not, I would have voted NH).
I love all the self-written music, I always think they are in the upper half of her albums.

I think Alice is such a well written song, especially considering she wrote it about a movie and not something personal to her.

Imma go with IFILWTD.
the whole “dig deep six feet” part of the song is such an Avril type of break down that brings the song to a completely different place and vibe, and I love it.
