[ALBUM] AL8 Speculation Thread

Yeah some other topics would be a warm welcome! It doesn't have to be super cheesy but I liked she tried some new topic with MIR for example. She's kinda into astrology so that was nice to have a different topic. Teenage Nightmare the same.
The boy bashing was fun again but if she does it again it would be a bit boring.

I like to think that in some kind of Adele fansite they're also hoping she could write about anything else than break up songs 🤣
But yeah, Avril could sing about other topics. It could be about challenges she faced in life, about how lost one can get with all the traveling and touring, how even though everyone sees her but doesn't really know her, or even a song about our last day on earth afrer a cataclysm... there's plenty of topics.

But I also fear we're stuck at heartache forever.

I think, like a lot of artists, she uses writing to process her emotions and breakups cause lots of strong emotions that need working through. She can, and has, written songs on other topics though and being that she hadn't broken up with anyone for a while it would be great if she wrote about other things. A few break up songs would be fine imo, especially if she looks at them from a new angle, but the majority exploring a wider selection of topics would be great.

I never particularly liked Nobody's Home as a song but I like how for once she sang about someone other than herself or a boyfriend. I suspect the problem is that she may have a lot of stories like that to share which are affecting her and she'd like to process them through songs but feels like they aren't hers to tell and worries that those people would recognise that the song is talking about them and get upset. It's safer to talk about yourself. And even then she is really quite secretive and private. 

I agree, the problem is that she cannot talk about it in a more mature way, so we're damned to hear childish break up songs. 

Let Go and UMS had more writers, more concepts ... and even if some lyrics are clearly not hers, at least they were more serious and she was also taken more seriously. 
Some songs like "Take me Away" and "Together" can be considered break up songs right? How amazing they are if you compare them to "You make me siiickk bleahhh don't invite me to your pity party bleahhh" 


She should just accept the idea of having help by a serious writer, because she clearly has good ideas, but doesn't have the skills (we often comment in this form how some of her interviews are a pain to watch), maybe it's also because she didn't finish school and when she was attending she didn't study much, but it's not a problem, she should just accept a serious writer's help, it's their job and some writers hardly find a job while they are incredibly talented. 

I think she has had some help for AL8 too. Mod and that guy from All Time Low, and there was another one, right?
