Maybe they don't know when to release the album because in May she's putting out the UMS anniversary edition, and they don't want them both to crash into each other. I think the single(s) at least are definitely coming before those dates in festivals. The documentary can possibly be a reason too; but in this case, they probably DO want the two to be out around the same time. Let's see how things go by her next interview If the problem is UMS (which I hope), she can release it on Spotify / vinyls around February. Like other artists do, they don't respect the exact date. After all she doesn't have to release Music Videos or doing a proper era/promo. These Anniversaries are quick: people pre-order copies and/or stream again the album along with the unreleased and the artist earn some easy money. But they hype lasts 1 month? 2 at most. So by April or May, which means 3 months later, she can release a single and start the proper era That would be really cool. And with this she could again attract the attention of old fans who fell away at some point. During LG20th I noticed how old fans came back and they were surprised when they found out that Avril was still making music and some even appreciated Love Sux. |

The album will be out lol. Normally, she likes to take summers off/be lighter so she has leisure time. She’s going to WORK and has her calendar is full for a reason. Y’all say this every year and then act surprised when she doesn’t release new material 😂 |

Remember last era when she did an interview and didn't mention the love sux deluxe at all? Just to some weeks later on another one, talking about new music in the fall, and then in a couple more she officially announced everything. Things change very quickly for her, for better or worse.

The ideal would be for the album to be released before those festivals, but if it doesn't happen, I believe the best would've been to have two singles out, promote them at these festivals, and then release the album.

I'm listening to GYWYL right now, and my God her voice is just... *chef's kiss*. Her low notes really are something else. I'm really hoping AL8 is more mellow than LS because I want to hear her voice when she's not yelling, if that makes sense. Like there's a difference how her voice sounds when she's not using full power, and it's just so beautiful. More than anything on AL8, I really just want to listen to her voice. With FAH and What Child is This, she's shown she's capable of hitting some great high notes, and I hope she lets her voice shine.

I know she's belting out the lyrics but she doesn't have to do it for every fast song because it's starting to come off as yelling. I assume that's why she's so tired when she sings the ballads and decides not to do the high notes in songs like IWY or IAM. I would like her to play with her vocals too and hit different registers, sing differently. But we always get pitchy vocals instead.
