I don't really like when she's this quiet either. Especially in a year when she's supposed to release new music. Every time that happens, there's something going on behind the scenes that delays things. I hope it's not the case, though.

I personally do not need an update that's not an update. But I'm also like hm another ad? I mostly wonder how this era is going to go. I hope this silence means that real change is coming. I was not a fan of the neverending soons that lasted years. I hope she is better prepared this era but I say that every era. Anyway, I have some thoughts I'd like to share even though I doubt it'll happen again... Alter Ego is happening in a few days. Remember when she showed up there as a surprise set? It would have been cool if she was the one to step in for Paramore (they dropped out, it's a whole thing). |

I personally do not need an update that's not an update. But I'm also like hm another ad? I mostly wonder how this era is going to go. I hope this silence means that real change is coming. I was not a fan of the neverending soons that lasted years. I hope she is better prepared this era but I say that every era. Anyway, I have some thoughts I'd like to share even though I doubt it'll happen again... Alter Ego is happening in a few days. Remember when she showed up there as a surprise set? I think we won't see her in festivals (or anywhere bar tv) before those dates in the summer tho |

This pocket show is an exception in her current years on stage, unfortunately. |

By this time, for her past three eras, we'd already had some songs registered. Most of those songs never really make the album, but at least they're a guide to where she's going, who's working with her at the moment, and stuff like that. The last time that happened was during GL. If I remember correctly, she didn't register anything in advance either. The earliest one, I believe, was I Love You, but it was some weeks before the album came out, so not really something new.
AL had many
HAW a few
And Love Sux didn't get registered songs, but the whole tracklist was practically out.
Both UMS and TBDT also had a shit ton of songs registered in advance
Maybe they are doing it to avoid leaks tho

So I don't think that it will indicate something signficent. We can only judge when we listen the songs finished. I can't believe in her explanations about the album concept or sound, for example, before I see it happening. I also don't believe in theories with records labels anymore. If she's really anxious to sing new songs, the festivals are a great way to do it. Remember Mall Tour? huh or maybe when she sang '17' at viper room months before the self-title official release. |
