It does make sense for her to have a new album, greatest hits album, and anniversary album all out this year. Pack them with a bunch of unreleased tracks and sell them on tour

AL8 wasn't scrapped, but I've been having a feeling for a long time that she really doesn't know what direction to follow for this record. She's aware it might sound too much like Love Sux. I'm sure she must have tried some rap or country even for fun, but she's not sure.
So they came up with the idea of a GH tour and in the meantime still working on AL8. What annoys me a bit is that by the time the album is out, most of the original songs will sound old to her and she will scrap them.

Has the new album been scrapped, which is why we're getting a GH Tour? We might as well wait until 2027 now. I dont think so that was scrapped. I personally think she need to get back to Spotlight little bit and when people “forgot” she still doing music or they relate on her nostalgia music this is good move to remind them that she is still here and she always did Album then Tour but now I think they change things like switched it lets do GH tour and then release new album for more attention she still have couple of things What she can do before tour like UMS20, Documentary and then close to tour starts release new single or maybe new single and then UMS and documentary then have tour promote old music and new single with reminding people new album its on the way and release it when tour is done. Next year she can do another tour if she will want but she basically will have tour 2 years in a row (Yeah with breaks) so I dont think that will be needed but will see maybe she feel for that traveling all the time or maybe she can take one two years break from touring today she can promote new music online basically and left it till AL9 will be released and maybe she wont sing all her biggest hits and she will be focus to perform new music on next tour with just 4 biggest hits I dont know its really Lot of options What she can do haha sorry for long post I read the same argument in this forum when she was about to release a pop punk record (Love Sux). I dont think people forgot she is still making music. Maybe she's not atractive to them anymore.. you cant deny that she hasnt showing any relevant growth on her own music in years, especially to the casual listeners. |

Have you listened to what 60% of people listen to now a days? No its not because she hasnt shown any growth its cuz shes an artist from the early 2000s its 2024 now. People arent gonna care as much anymore. The GP cares way. way more about rapping and beats now. Hell Tyga has soem awful lyrics but people love him and say hes fire. GP today doesnt care about growth as an artist or anythin they jsutc are about beat and if you can dance to it in a club and stuff they give 0 shits about lyrics unless youre a swiftie |

I think it's possible the music video has been shot based on her stories from the last couple of days, and she'll release a single before tour, followed by the album after September. She will take the tour overseas in 2025. There's no need to rebrand it, since we know that she'll probably just do singles anyways. Those are my predictions.

As it is she barely plays new songs, and with more and more albums she’s going to play less and less new ones. This tour is already selling well and shows she can sell based on her legacy more than any new album.

Yeah it’s probably easier to sell too and just say guys this is from my new album it’s called etc if you’ve heard it sing along if you haven’t hope you like it. (Yes I just referenced My World DVD lmao) rather then naming it the tour name which may not garner as much interest |

They could just call it “Avril Lavigne on Tour” or “Avril Live” or something. |

Adam lambert doesn’t fit the bill at all it’s not the same at all just feels like a cover band. But yes I do agree Avril could name it Avril on tour or something |
