I loved her voice on GL album. I just love it. All my love is on the Avril GL vocals. I just love the work done here. That's why I think: AL8 can have both Avril MFP and can have Avril acoustic-country-pop-soft-rock (LG origins). * I remember that:

lucasm, she should have an acoustic album of all her songs. Her voice is so beautiful and it’s good to hear more of her voice 🥰

Whether we like it or not, all those "cheap mainstream" songs on GL are great. As shallow as they may be, they were meant to be hits, and the production was great. Her voice sounds incredible in all of them, instrumentation, mixing. As mentioned above, the best producer in the world indeed. If GL's vision got distorted bc of the singles it's another story... On behalf of Feldy, i also think it was a choice, not a mistake. Breakaway recording is the best she sounded in years and that was produced by feldy too. I honestly think it's a mixture of her decline voice-wise meaning not hiting the notes as accurately as before and therefore needing more autotune or correction and also her nasal tone after lyme which sometimes is more evident than others but it's still there....no matter how much we are used to it now, its still there... And i know some of you guys loved her GH tour.... but honestly speaking her vocals are in decline since AL era, idc what the perception is lol. She relies more and more on backing vocals and maybe (just maybe) even live autotune. She struggles a lot with high notes, projecting her usual chest voice, and pretty much breath control. I'm sure she's still very talented and a lot more experienced now with her voice, but i don't think she trained her voice enough or took care of it properly... Which of the main stream songs do you like? I never listen to her songs like what the hell, hello kitty and girlfriend.. I just can’t stand what the hell, though I Ilike the acoustic version 😂

I have always been a GL defender… while not as polished or cohesive as her first three albums, I think it has some of the strongest songs of her career on there. Evan and Deryck helped her tremendously. From not correcting her vocals to having a simplistic production, it all let the attention be focused on her vocals and songwriting. That trend continued with the stronger tracks on AL and HAW, but she completely abandoned that approach with LS… it was so jarring that it really gave me whiplash upon first listen. The vocal production was absolutely intentional, but not because Avril is losing her ability, but because Feldy is a hack producer who thinks that is how you produce vocals. Her voice sounds so robotic on the acoustic version of Bite Me, which is actually insane because you’d expect it to be more raw

Avril has great songs like that. Both WTH and Smile are great songs for me personally (smile lyrics aside...) But it's just fun to have something you can dance along even if i don't dance at all LOL but basically hyping your enegery up, idk... Same goes with GF, Dumb Blonde, or LS in general. in general there are few Avril songs i don't like, very few.

Come on Avril, make an acoustic album like the Walmart Soundcheck Sessions. off topic: Recently Zayn released "Room Under the Stairs" and later "Room Under the Stairs (Z sides)" with less produced and more acoustic versions. Beautiful to see. I really like that. Avril in her best form here --- and it could be Evan on backing vocals haha (another fan's dream).

I do like a good pop song from Avril (just not the ones on AL5), but I also like to have more meaningful songs as well. A balance between the upbeat and more serious. That’s why I personally didn’t like TBDT or LS, because there wasn’t enough variety. To me those songs work better on a playlist, occasionally getting the fun song from Avril amongst other fun songs from other artists… but as a body of work, I can’t tolerate listening to LS from front to back

I loved her voice on GL album. GL may not have been the most exciting album, but i agree that her vocals are strongest there

It will be almost 3 years since LS came out. Exactly! Bite Me is already 3 years old. Doesn't feel like that at all. It still feels fresh to me.

Like my world collapse when she announced The Greatest Hits Tour part 2 and it's mid 2025. She's such a mess. Another agonizing wait. I hate it. Really, really hate it. 😭

I have a feeling that an average mainstream musician could have easily used the time between the first and second tour legs (~Sep 2024 - Feb 2025) to prepare an album, tour North America during next summer (May and June 2025) while also promoting a new single during the tour, drop the album in July/August, hit the South American festival circuit in September/October, and then wrap up the year with an Asia tour in November. But let’s be real... nobody can expect her to take that route.
Her working sechedule is always so messed up.

Like, with Love Sux turning 3 next year and AL8 possibly not coming anytime soon at least that fear of her releasing two albums that sound too similar is kind of going away right? A lot of us had that fear at first with the albums coming so close to each and her working with the same people and all that.
