All you've done is help me. I just got confused and fooled by the software makers. I had no idea you could get CC Cleaner and Malwarebytes for free. Even after I paid for CC Cleaner some of the options required an extra Pro version to work. The Easysoft program worked well, and they and Malwarebytes seemed to remove problem installations, and might include the drivers because I saw a long list of PUP's quarantined, I think they're called. I am not familiar with all this sort of thing so I was just following instructions. I do appreciate your help. I've done a little further research. I found this... www.howtogeek.com/361112/heres-what-you-should-use-instead-of-ccleaner/There's even a link to a site where you can get an older version of CCleaner Free. But, it doesn't work. 😂 I found another site that has older versions. I am currently testing one. I will then delete it. There are potential downsides. I'm not going to discuss this further now. If there is ever a reason to discuss this again, I will have to download it again, and test it again. So, why bother explaining it now. But, the article is worth a read. Thanks so much. I'll take a look.

I tried some of the things they suggested. Most of the work was already done by CC Cleaner and they weren't that helpful. Windows even bans you from removing default apps and won't show you everything in storage that's taking up space. But overall your help has been great and my laptop is running better and starting up much faster. I'm not having the same issues and sluggishness I did before. If I can download free versions of Malwarebytes and CC Cleaner, then I can save the page links and delete and reinstall them in between using them. Thanks so much for all your great help, UB. Give yourself a Gold Star!

I also downloaded an older version of CC Cleaner from the link at the website you posted the link to. It works fine and I will use it. I just made sure it's doesn't start up when I log on, but only when I open it.

It's wicked fast and easy to use. I didn't have it on the computer I'm using right now. It took less than a minute to download, install and launch. From now on, I will be testing current versions, of any software I recommend. Sadly, Malwarebytes is no longer free, forever.

1 thing is I've noticed a couple of problems with my keyboard and wireless headphones. I'm going to try and roll back the drivers, but I installed 28 drivers with the software and I'm not sure which 1's. I already deleted the driver update software. Should I reinstall it and try and roll the drivers back that way? I didn't realize it was a bad idea at the time and didn't keep track of everything I installed. I had serious issues with my bluetooth and wireless headphones and it was the driver. I couldn't even use my keyboard and I'm having issues with it and had to change keyboards. Everything lights up in blue and is upper case. I couldn't even click on device manager to change the driver. The roll back was grayed out, and it told me there was no new driver needed, and wouldn't download a driver for me. The other keyboard works, but I need to reinstall my good keyboard.

I wouldn't recommend installing the driver update software. I stick with what I said before. If the problem is drivers, you're going to have to get them from HP. Check out this page and see if there are any automated solutions that apply to your situation. support.hp.com/us-en/help/diagnostics?category=computingHave you tried the HP Support Assistant? It should be installed on your computer already. If not, install it. There is a link on the above page. There's a couple of things I didn't understand. What do you mean Everything lights up in blue? Is that the color of the font you are typing? If so, that might be a settings selection. Is that when you typing in a browser, or in other apps too? All upper case - try your caps lock button. About I need to reinstall my good keyboard. What does that mean? Who made it? Can't you get a driver from them? Does the built-in keyboard work? Before you go crazy with changes that might potentially leave you without a keyboard at all, make sure you know how to activate the on-screen keyboard. Just type on-screen keyboard in the taskbar search box. Actually, you should see the option after typing the first few letters.

Yes, in my browser and when I tried to edit my post the text was all lit up in blue and stuck. I clicked on my on screen keyboard as you said to and realized it showed my scroll lock was lit up. I turned it off. That likely was the problem. I'll have to check that if i have issues again. So the problem should be fixed. I will check out the website. I will also look for or download the HP Support assistant. Thanks. I use a wireless keyboard and no the laptop keyboard. I downloaded the HP asst and it checked my system and updated some drivers. It also says my system is good with no errors now and clean and tidy. So right now it looks good. I will keep the asst and it's very helpful. And so are you, UB. Thanks for all your great help!

Once you're satisfied with the configuration, I recommend you do two things. Set a restore point save a new system image. One, or the other could make things easier, in the event of future problems. You might want to check out the possibility of getting a refund. www.ccleaner.com/cancellation-refund-policy

It's not much money, but I'll ask.

To those trying to purchase RTX 30 series cards or Radeon RX 6000 series cards, god speed and good luck.

To those trying to purchase RTX 30 series cards or Radeon RX 6000 series cards, god speed and good luck. NVIDIA is arbitrarily reducing the effectiveness of the newer cards in Bitcoin mining to deter bitcoin miners from buying them out. The cards will be marked for LHR(Lite Hash Rate). I'm hoping to get one of those when they get released. I don't see any of these LHR cards listed yet.

Assuming you live in the US, Best Buy drops them every other Thursday (ex. this Thursday) at around 12 PM PST.

As in, I'm not gonna sit around waiting to see if 3080s are available. I would love the extra power because I play at 1440p, but it's not a big deal. I can wait. Were you able to get one or an AMD equivalent?
