I would like more songs in the vein of Eyes Wide Shut. It was a well written, well produced track with some lyrical and emotional depth beyond her usual, and her voice was produced without the annoying chipmunk effect. It was an alternative song that managed to sound modern and not like something out of 2004. Completely agree with this. It was my most played song of the year for a reason. The production is on point, and the lyrics are deeper than probably anything on the LS album, with the exception of Avalanche maybe. |

Eyes wide shut is great and I hope it is indicative of the direction of AL8. Anesthesia or Close would be very interesting too (especially Anesthesia, what a song!). Her last collab Fake as hell is a very good song although is from All Time Low, but something similar would be perfect in AL8. So all her last songs for me are on point and even more promising than Love Sux.

Agree on everything but FAH. For me that song is still very LS adjacent and I’d personally like to see her move on from that.

Although I think FAH is an ok song, I'd love to hear something more personal and profund sang by Avril. It doesn't mean that it necessarily needs to be a ballad or a slow-piano song. I just think that FAH has generic lyrics about love and relationships.
