To be honest, it's not even full songs that would truly intrigue me; it's more MOMENTS of songs that I'd like to hear- eg the adlibs at the end of WYWH, the big note/moment of Innocence etal. I'd like to see her tackle those.

I'd be kind of interested to know the story behind the documentary she seemed to be filming during the Let Go era and why a mediocre ~25 minute cheeseball, badly spliced-together featurette was released in lieu of the genuinely interesting and insightful footage that we've seen that has leaked. I mean, it was obviously scrapped due to image concerns and whatnot, but I'd be curious to know more and to know whether any kind of edit was ever compiled.

^ I wouldn't necessarily say that a couple of those ladies are a good example, haha. Also- we can readjust our brains a bit too-regardless of babies or diseases or anything, avrils promo/tour schedule will never be as strenuous or time consuming as it was during LG-TBDT. She's lacked the energy or passion to put that much effort into it long before any bug stung her.

I don't think she'll play guitar at SO, but we'll see. BTW, I love that DTM performance too. May I ask why you both love that performance?

It's Pop/____ a lot of things: Rock, country, folk, punk, alt, emo... All represented in some pop crossover form, along with many others.

Musically, I think it maybe would have been a bit more attention grabbing than htNGU; however, most all of the backlash was rooted back to the music video, I think it could maybe have succeeded in some kind of viral capacity, if it had a different visual.

Both looks really similar. When she don't release a Deluxe WW and with Real New Bonus Tracks I won't buy it anymore. The Japan AL Deluxe was a little mess Ugh Japan! I hate them so much for getting so many exclusive releases. For each of Avril's albums, Japan has gotten multiple exclusive, special edition releases. It's so not fair. Of course, nowadays anyone can buy them online, but it's still unfair! And it's not just Avril. I see for it happen for tons of artists. I don't like when artists release special editions exclusively to certain countries. All fans, no matter which county they live in, should get these releases. More often than not, it's a business reason as opposed to a case of preferential treatment. CDs pressed locally in Japan are more often more expensive for them than imports, so bonus tracks are an incentive to ensure that copies of their domestic CDs are sold.

Well if you look at the other songs in the list, it's very fitting.

People need to remember that when avril was at her peak; pop-punk music was what was playing on mainstream radio and TRL etc. She doesn't have a default sound to fall back on that would guaranty a hit for her; GF was the last chance of that and I don't think that that would smash in today's musical climate. She can try to adjust her sound to fit in (HK?) or else just try to go out on a limb and release something a bit left field. Releasing another GL would completely alienate any potential new fans, and also potentially bore existing fans, myself included. Were she to be recording a Christmas album, the recording process would need to have been completed by August/September latest. A strategically released GH would be released in time for Black Friday or Christmas, so it's kind of the same deal. The latter two options would be ideal for a low-commitment avril, which is maybe what's best for her atm.

She wrote a good few blog entries on her site during the debut era (I'd say 5/6) ... One of them was all about how she loves hugs from fans haha... Oh how times have changed. They more or less completely stopped when UMS was released, or the in between of the eras.

It's not even autotune that would be the "issufe" here, it's more the fact that the note is taken out of context: it's easy to hit a high note when you have unlimited takes to do it and don't have the rest of the song as a prefix. A lesser example of this is in Hot, avril has never REALLY nailed that "you make me wanna SCREAM" note, it's always always a semitone flat Anyway so yeah, she could be recording that note on a competely separate day with an hour of warm up and twelve takes before finalising the choice, so not hearing it live is where the doubt could initiate.

You don't need to explain how promo works. I get it. But I'd argue that Avril was still a pretty big name in 2011. Big enough to sell GL, without ramming it down people's throats. We're not talking about some obscure indie artist, or some dude who performed on American Idol that one time. I struggle to imagine who wouldn't have known who she was, barring people who'd never seen a radio or a computer before. AL could have used better promotion, though. It had been, what, 6 years since her last megahit? Avril who? Britney Spears is a big name and her last album didn't sell shit because there was no promo. And she is arguably bigger and has more fans than Avril. It only sold a couple hundred thousand copies, which goes to show that the number of hardcore fans is small and that promo counts for more than you think it does. We'll the album was also horribly reviewed and many fans didn't think much of it either. I am referring to both Britney Jean and GL (IMO, ofc)

The odds of her announcing any kind of new music project are slim to none; I'm certain she's just gonna say how inspired she is, next album will be more personal, themes of strength etc etc etc, I wonder if she's going to reveal much more about her experience with the disease beyond what she has already share in the magazine interview.

I'm not sure if she has the name brand power to be a standalone online store in the clothing market, so I think it would maybe be best for her to team up with some kind of retailer. I doubt she'd return to Kohls but it would be cool if she managed to score somewhere more accessible, such as Macy's or something. It would be even better if she could go through the medium of Target (whom have had successful lines designed by legit designers) or Kmart (Adam Levine, selena Gomez, Nicki Minaj etc etc have had successful lines there) but I'm not certain she'd be able to sell under her own Abbey Dawn umbrella brand, which would therefore discourage her.
